50th Anniversary Gala

Join Us for a Milestone Celebration

Rehabilitation medicine then and now — archival and current photos of students and clinicians at work

For 50 years, the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine has been helping people live fuller, healthier lives through education, research and compassionate care. From pioneering physical therapy education in Alberta to advancing rehabilitation around the world, our community has spent five decades improving lives — one student, one patient and one discovery at a time.

Join us as we celebrate this remarkable milestone and the people who made it possible.

Whether you're an alumnus, former faculty or staff member, clinical educator, donor, partner or friend of the faculty, we'd be honoured to have you with us.

An Evening of Celebration

Reconnect with classmates and colleagues, revisit memories, and toast the people, partnerships and achievements that continue to advance rehabilitation in Alberta and beyond.

The evening will feature:

  • A welcome reception where old friends pick up right where they left off and new connections are just a "what year were you?" away
  • A plated dinner and dessert, served with reunions and plenty of "I can't believe it's been that long!" moments
  • Stories that travel from FRM's early days to the work happening right now, with a peek at what's coming next
  • Anniversary videos starring familiar faces from across the Rehab Med community
  • A keynote from alumna Alicia Souveny (MScPT ’16) sharing her personal journey of rehabilitation, recovery and resilience
  • A lively panel discussion to get your table talking
  • Time to linger, laugh and swap "remember when" stories before the night wraps up
