Family Medicine Interest Group

The Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) is a student-led group at the University of Alberta dedicated to raising awareness about the benefits of family medicine. The FMIG aims to increase exposure to family medicine throughout undergraduate and graduate education, and help students recognize the crucial role it plays in our health care system. The group hosts a myriad of events throughout the year, which offer students great opportunity to meet one another and make connections with residents and physicians in general practice. This year the FMIG will be working closely with Alberta College of Family Physicians (ACFP) in a number of activities and initiatives which will promote both the ACFP and family medicine to students.
