Applying for Graduation/Convocation

Are you Ready to Graduate?

When is Convocation?

The convocation ceremonies, coordinated by the Office of the Registrar, are held three times a year:

November

  • Degree requirements must be fulfilled by the end of the Spring and/or Summer terms
  • Apply for graduation between March 1 and June 15

March

  • Degree requirements must be fulfilled by the end of the Fall term
  • Apply for graduation between July 1 and October 15

June

  • Degree requirements must be fulfilled by the end of the Winter term
  • Apply for graduation between November 1 and February 15

What do I need to do?

  1. Apply for graduation in Bear Tracks > Academic Records > Graduation by the deadline! Keep an eye out for communication from the Faculty and from the Office of the Registrar.
  2. Verify your personal and mailing/address information in Bear Tracks > Profile > Personal Details.
  3. View your ceremony details.
  4. Update your attendance and RSVP in Bear Tracks > Graduation Status Page.
  5. Get your guest tickets, as you are entitled to a limited amount.
  6. Reserve your apparel and convocation packet in Bear Tracks > Graduation Status Page.
  7. Pick up your convocation packet and apparel at the University Bookstore
  8. Pay any outstanding fines/fees in Bear Tracks > Financials > Financial Holds. You will not be able to obtain your parchment if you have a financial hold.
