Music Department Abroad, Summer 2023

Music Department faculty, students and alumni have been busy abroad this summer.

Department of Music - 25 July 2023

In June, Guillaume Tardif joined international musicians Lena Johnsson, Felipe Avellar de Aquino and Sandra Cabral de Aquino for a special concert at the Brazilian Embassy in Rome, Palazzo Pamphilj, Piazza Navona. This well-received concert featured Ravel's trio among other chamber works, and professor Tardif performed Milhaud's Cinema-Fantasy Le Boeuf sur le Toit, which quotes from various Brazilian songs of the 1910s and 20s.

This summer, professor Tardif was also joined by recent DMus graduate, Viktoria Grynenko, and current PhD student Olga Zaitseva-Herz in presentations at the University of Vienna and for the Boccherini Society in Italy.
