Graduate Student with Sue-Ann Mok: Protein Aggregation

Dr. Sue-Ann Mok is currently recruiting MSc and PhD trainees interested in protein folding and misfolding as it relates to neurodegenerative diseases. Their lab uses biochemistry and cell biology techniques to understand what causes a protein to misfold and aggregate, what specific shape features of misfolded proteins causes cell dysfunction, and what cellular defenses can protect against protein aggregation events.
