Oncologic Imaging

The research programs of the principal investigators in Oncologic Imaging fall into the categories of radionuclides production, radiochemistry, targeted tracer development, radiopharmacy, pharmacokinetics, radiation dosimetry, SPECT and PET imaging and involve a variety of academic disciplines that include cellular and molecular biology and health care economics.
Research initiatives are supported by basic and clinical research tools that include human imaging cameras for conventional radiopharmaceuticals and PET agents, a microPET animal camera, a library of clinical research molecular imaging PET probes, a fully equipped clinical production lab, a basic research lab, a wide spectrum of automated chemistry modules for preparation of clinical and research radiopharmaceuticals and radiochemicals and a high yield medical cyclotron for isotope production and development of novel radionuclides.
