University of Alberta students registered in on-campus credit courses are eligible for a ONEcard. Photos must be submitted and approved in advance of picking up a ONEcard. All students must present a valid government issued photo ID and their U of A ID number.

Get a Virtual ONEcard
Your virtual ONEcard acts as your student identification while attending classes remotely. Write exams and access student discounts—use your virtual ONEcard anywhere you may be asked for your student ID while you're off campus!
Virtual ONEcards are available to distance learning students. On premise students will receive a physical ONEcard.

Most University of Alberta faculty and staff are eligible for a University of Alberta ONEcard. You must pick up your ONEcard in person and present government issued photo ID at time of issuance. Email ONEcard@ualberta.ca to confirm your eligibility.
To request a staff ONEcard:

University of Alberta Alumni may obtain a University of Alberta Alumnus ONEcard for ID purposes. Access to services must be purchased separately. Please visit the University of Alberta's Campus & Community Recreation and Libraries websites for information about fees and procedures for accessing these services. Access to services must be purchased separately. Guests and contractors with the university may obtain a ONEcard in person for a fee of $15 after they have been assigned their 7-digit university ID number and CCID.
Access to buildings or services may be administered by the individual's department after card issuance.

A Cash ONEcard (not ID) can be purchased from the ONEcard office and can be used to make ONEcard financial transactions at vending locations that accept ONEcard cash.

Department ID Badges
The ONEcard Office, in collaboration with Marketing and Communications, has developed a standard Departmental ID Badge for University of Alberta staff, students, and contractors. Department administrators can request badges using one of the forms available on the Forms Page.

VVC Memberships
Individuals who are not associated with the University of Alberta, but wish to use the gym facilities, may purchase a VVC Membership from the Equipment Room in the Van Vliet Centre.
