Printing and Copying


You can print, copy or scan documents with ONEcard printers using your personal device or university computer in libraries or labs.

Please note: You MUST be connected to UWS to print on campus.

Where are the printers and copiers located?

Printers and copiers are located across campus. View the campus map for printer locations (as well as campus building hours for open hours and access information).

What does printing and copying cost?

  • $0.12 per side for black and white
  • $0.35 per side for colour
  • It is free to scan

How do I print from campus computers?
  1. Select Print on your document
  2. Enter your CCID and password in the popup window that appears
  3. Pick up your printing from any of our printing locations
How do I print from my iPhone?

Adjust your settings

  1. Select next to the network name
  2. Select Configure DNS
  3. Change it to Manual
  4. Select Add Search Domain
  5. Enter
  6. Press Save to complete the setup


  1. Open the item to print
  2. Select the Print option within your document
    You might find this by clicking the menu or share icon
  3. Tap Select Printer and choose an onecardmobilityprint
  4. Enter your CCID and password
  5. Choose the number of copies or other options and tap Print

If you can’t find the print option, check the app’s User Guide or Help section.

How do I print from my Android device?
  1. Install Mobility Print from the Play Store
  2. Turn on notifications and Mobility Print Service
  3. Select ONEcardMobilityPrint
  4. Press OK
  5. To release the print, open the your job needs authentication notification and enter your CCID and password
How do I print from my Apple laptop?
  1. Go to your System Preferences app and select Network
  2. Click Advanced
  3. Select DNS tab
  4. Click the sign under Search Domains
  5. Type in domain name
  6. Return to Settings and select Printers & Scanners
  7. Click the to add the printer
  8. A popup with appear. Double click onecardmobilityprint
  9. Ensure the fields read:
    • Name: onecardmobilityprint
    • Location: pcsrv02
    • Use: Generic PostScript Printer
  10. Click Add
  11. Print your document using the onecardmobilityprint printer
  12. Enter your CCID and password and press OK
    Ensure the popup is set to your CCID not your laptop profile name
How do I print from my Windows laptop?
  1. Download and install the application
  2. Once installed, the application will search for the printers on the network. Select ONEcard Mobility Print and choose next
  3. Enter your CCID and Password
  4. Press Finish to complete the setup

Ensure ONEcardMobilityPrint is selected as the printer to print

How do I print in colour?

All printers are set to print in black and white by default—this will avoid any overcharge for pages with only the slightest bit of colour. But don't worry! You can manually change to colour printing by following these steps.

  1. Select Print
  2. Scroll down and select Print using system dialog... (Ctrl+Shift+P)
  3. Select Preferences
  4. Under Printing Options, where it says Xerox Black and White, choose Off (Use Document Colour)
  5. Select OK
Do I need to pick up my print job immediately?

No. Jobs are securely held for 4 hours and can be retrieved at the printer when you present your ONEcard.

How do I scan documents?

Choose Email on the printer menu to scan directly to your University of Alberta email account.
