Students will continue to study the basics of Japanese syntax. Topics covered will include: the plain form of verbs and adjectives; compound sentences; modifying, temporal ("when"), and conditional ("if") clauses; potential and volitional forms; and direct and indirect quotations. Upon completion of this course, students will gain natural, accurate and flexible communication skills in Japanese and will be able to carry on a variety of daily conversations.
