Our graduate education programs are designed to meet the demand for skilled public health professionals who are dedicated to tackling today’s challenges to improve the health of people.
We’re committed to offering programs that meet the highest professional standards to ensure that they are relevant and practical. As the first accredited school of public health in Canada, it means that UAlberta's School of Public Health meets professional standards of academic integrity and quality.
You’ll find our programs to be accessible and flexible, and our faculty to be strong and supportive mentors—after all, they are among the world’s leaders in their areas of expertise.
NOTE: We are excited to announce that we recently completed a review of our MPH core competencies and curriculum with a goal of increasing the public health practice readiness of our MPH graduates. We will be implementing our new MPH integrated interdisciplinary core courses in fall 2018.
Effective fall 2018, these new core courses will be required for all MPH students admitted to our seven degree specializations. The total credits required for each specialization will not change. All students will complete 15 credits of core courses in the first two terms of the degree program. The first course will be completed on campus beginning on August 27, 2018. Some new core courses may require an immersion component.
