To date, the faculty has graduated over 55,000 alumni and we have more than 1,700 loyal donors who contribute to our annual success. Massive Open Online Courses
The U of A is proud to offer free open online courses to the community. As we all look to expand our understanding and learn new things, these courses are a great resource.
Help break down barriers for Indigenous students
Susan Jensen has been a student, professor and the first female chair in the Department of Biological Sciences. Reflecting on her career, she was inspired to support students in a new way with the Susan Jensen Indigenous Support Fund. The fund is the first of its kind in the Faculty of Science, supporting Indigenous students via undergraduate scholarships, bursaries and fees for equipment and conferences as they pursue their science education.
Empowering experiences and opportunities
The Science Experiential Skills Advantage (SESA) is a transformative initiative designed to provide every Faculty of Science undergraduate student with hands-on learning opportunities, regardless of GPA, background or financial barriers. By fostering inclusion and offering mentorship across diverse scientific fields, SESA equips students with the skills and experience to excel in their careers while cultivating a stronger, more diverse STEM talent pool. Your support helps us empower the next generation of innovators, ensuring they are prepared to lead in research, industry and education. Together, we can shape the future of science.
