Campus Bike Racks

UAlberta provides bike racks outside most buildings on campus. Please bring your own lock to secure your bike to the rack.

Secure Bike Cages

We also offer four secure bike lock-up cages on North Campus:

  • Education Car Park
  • Stadium Car Park
  • Cameron Library
  • Rutherford Library
Please visit Parking Services to purchase a permit.

Bikes in Buildings

Bicycles are not allowed inside buildings on campus.

If you bring a bicycle into a UAlberta building, Facilities & Operations staff will ask you to remove it.

Bicycles indoors are a tripping hazard and may block pathways or exits during an emergency; they also increase wear-and-tear inside our buildings. We appreciate your help maintaining the safety and cleanliness of our buildings by keeping bicycles outside.

If you have specific concerns about locking your bicycle outside or have questions about bike racks on campus, contact the Maintenance Desk.

Did You Know?

UAlberta has a Bike Sharing Program and a long-range Bicycle Plan.

Bike Locks on Racks

Please do not leave your personal bike lock on a campus bike rack. Facilities & Operations staff will remove any bike locks left on racks.
