Lan graduated from the University of Alberta in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing After Degree. After graduating from BScN in 2021, Lan began practicing as a Registered Nurse in the areas of public health and postpartum nursing. Throughout university, she worked as an aquatic safety instructor and lifeguard for the City of Edmonton, which initiated her passion for serving local communities. Lan represented the university by being an UAlberta Ambassador for 3 years and furthermore as a leader through the role of Senior UAlberta Ambassador. In addition, Lan assists international students with their post-secondary transition and introduction to the campus community through the “Welcoming Newcomers” group. Lan’s other interests include cooking new dishes, reading mystery novels, and hiking.
