Society, Power, and Identities in Early Modern Ukraine: A Symposium Honouring Zenon Kohut on His 80th Birthday

4 January 2024

The Ukrainian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and CIUS's Peter Jacyk Centre for Ukrainian Historical Research cordially invite you to participate in a symposium celebrating the 80th birthday of Professor Zenon Kohut, titled “Society, Power, and Identities in Early Modern Ukraine.”

Dr. Kohut will celebrate his 80th birthday on 18 January, 2024. In honour of this milestone, his colleagues have compiled a collection of articles as a special issue of the Bulletin of the Ukrainian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and organized a symposium to express their gratitude to Dr. Kohut for his academic contributions. The establishment of the Society in 2021 underscores the growth of scholarly interest in the “long” eighteenth century—a pivotal period in Dr. Kohut's academic research.
