Book Appointment

Peer tutoring is a collaborative process in which the tutor works with you to find areas for improvement in your writing. Your tutor will suggest strategies to help you develop and revise your own work. The long-term goal is to help you improve your own writing skills.

Peer tutoring is available for undergraduate students. If you are a graduate student, please email write@ualberta.ca and ask to book an appointment with one of our writing advisors.

Live Tutoring

Undergraduate students can book a live, or online, consultation to meet remotely with a peer tutor.

Please note:

  • Live appointments with peer tutors are 30 minutes. You can book two appointments in a row to have one hour with your tutor. In order for tutors to support as many students as possible, we ask that you book no more than two tutoring appointments a week. To inquire about additional time, please email write@ualberta.ca. You can book up to two weeks in advance.

In-Person Tutoring

Undergraduate students have the option to book an in-person consultation with a peer tutor to work on a piece of writing.

Please note:

  • In-person appointments are 30 minutes in length. You can book two 30-minute appointments in a row to have one hour with your tutor.
  • You can book up to two 30-minute appointments a week. You can book up to two weeks in advance.
