The Career Management Center offers a host of workshops and seminars to MMA students on topics such as:

  • Career Branding - Identifying your unique value and learning how to talk about it
  • Resume - Writing a resume that gets read and gets you the interview
  • Cover Letters - Connecting your experience to what the employer is asking for
  • LinkedIn - Profiles that perform and using them effectively for your job search
  • Interviewing - Preparing for behavioural and technical questions with practice and feedback
  • Networking with purpose - Even introverts can do it
  • Building Relationships - Turning contacts into a network you can rely on

campusBRIDGE
campusBRIDGE is a platform for events, services, and job postings to support career growth and your job search. All current Master's students have access, with limited access available after graduation.

Employers are interested in engaging with the talent from the School of Business are constantly hosting in-person and virtual information sessions, sharing information on panel discussions, presenting as a guest speaker, participating in career fairs and engaging in meaningful interactions to get to know the students and to help them learn more about their organization's unique value proposition. Your orientation includes a session with the Career Management Team. You'll meet the people who support you, hear how career services work in the program, and spend time with your cohort on activities that help you get to know each other early. The community you build will last throughout the school year and beyond.

Students can build connections with the Alberta School of Business community through Speaker Series, networking events, and other opportunities to connect with MMA alumni, current students, and the broader business community.

Students can also learn from alumni by participating in mentorship opportunities, networking events, and other activities that provide opportunities to hear about alumni experiences and career journeys. 

 

Master's Experiential Learning

Discover a range of Master's Experiential Learning Opportunities that enrich your learning journey and encourage active involvement in our dynamic community. Experiential Learning, also known as "learning by doing," places emphasis on reflecting upon the experience, not merely the activity itself.
