Format

Texas Scramble

  • Each player tees off. Those who would normally score 110 and below (Low Handicap), please play from the white tees. Those who would normally score 111+ (High Handicap) please play from the blue tees.
  • The team decides which is the best shot, and then all 4 players play from that spot and repeat with every shot on the hole.
  • Record your team score for each hole and whose drive you used for each hole on the supplied score card.
  • Each player must use a minimum of two drives.
  • If you only have three players, Player A will hit an additional shot on Hole #1, Player B on Hole #2 and Player C on Hole #3. This will continue for 18 Holes
  • In the case of a tie, the winning team will be determined by a count back starting from hole #18 (lowest score wins).

Keep the Pace

You are playing too slow if the hole ahead of you is open from tee to green. Please keep up with the group ahead of you. If you get more than a hole behind, you may be asked to pick up your ball and move to the next green. Play “ready golf”; whoever is ready hits the ball. Slow play will result in the tournament being stopped at a set time.

Course Etiquette

Please repair all ball marks and rake bunkers. Observe all local course rules regarding out of bounds, water hazards, and ground under repair.

Finished Play

When you have completed your final hole (ie if you started on #4 your last hole will be #3) use the cart path to drive back to the Club House. Submit your completed team scorecard to the tournament organizers located at the prize table and enjoy the banquet lunch which will start immediately after teams complete 18 holes.

Golfer's Gift

Leave yourself enough time to browse the pro shop as each golfer will receive a $10 gift card from the Highlands pro shop. The shop will be fully stocked to meet your needs!

Mulligan Ticket

Each player gets one mulligan as part of their registration fee. One mulligan per player only. A player can use a mulligan to replay a stroke. Mulligans cannot be used on holes to win prizes.

Skill Prizes

Low Handicap and High Handicap Longest Drive - Drive must be on the fairway, no mulligans allowed; Longest putt (all players) - no mulligans allowed, Closest to the Pin (all players) - no mulligans allowed;

Hole in One

The first person to make a Hole-In-One on Hole 12 will win a $5,000 prize. All players will take their shot from the same tees.

Dress Code
