Observatory Virtual Tour

Welcome to the University of Alberta's Observatory. Our mission is to make education about space accessible to everyone. We normally open our telescopes to the public on Thursdays, allowing anyone to drop in and view the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars. School and other education-oriented youth groups can arrange for a private visit, guided by an astrophysics graduate student. All programming is provided free of charge. We also provide observing experience for undergraduate students at the University of Alberta. Please come inside and explore!

The Physics Observatory is located on the west end of the 5th floor of the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Sciences (CCIS) Building on the University of Alberta North Campus, room 5-240 . Please visit the Physics Observatory website for public viewing hours.
