Specialization Degrees
Specialized training in one field of study
Our BSc Specialization degrees provide a more focused education in one area of study. You will take most of your courses in one main subject area, and are expected to maintain a higher standard of academic achievement than those in the Bachelor of Science (BSc) General program.
Specialization degrees can provide the background to help you proceed to a higher degree, but its primary function is to provide a comprehensive education at the undergraduate level.
Specialization degrees are available in the following areas:
- Biological Sciences
Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Biology, Integrative Physiology, Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology
- Chemistry
The Specialization Chemistry degree is accredited by the Canadian Society for Chemistry. Students will take a variety of courses in general, analytical, organic and physical chemistry, as well as mathematics and related courses in environmental studies.
- Computing Science
Computing Science, Specialization in Computing Science - Minor in Business, Specialization in Computing Science - Software Practice
- Earth and Atmospheric Sciences
Environmental Earth Sciences, Geology, Paleontology, Planning (City Planning)
- Mathematical and Statistical Sciences

Specialization in Psychology. The program provides an understanding of areas like perception and motivation, behavior and cognitive development with emphasis on the physical, biological and mathematical sciences.
