This workshop was a collaborative endeavor between the SupplyNet Procurement & Contract Management team and the CSSH Office of Research, and was crafted to meet the specific needs and interests of Principal Investigators (PIs), Research Managers, Research Coordinators, and other administrative personnel within our college. Special topics covered in this workshop included:

  • How goods and services are purchased on campus
  • Examples of most common purchases
  • Direct pay invoices
  • Sole-Proprietor contracts
  • Thresholds: dollar values and tender
  • Global access vs normal access
  • Proper POs setups
  • Configuring email alerts
  • Adding watchers and additional approvers
  • Finding invoices - Navigating searches
  • Quotes guidelines

Following the session, a survey revealed that participants found the workshop significantly relevant to their roles and learned new knowledge that they had not been aware of before the session.
