Campfire
Thursday, July 22nd
7:00pm-9:00pm
Join us at Riley Park (800 12 St NW) for an evening campfire as a way to meet others, share stories, and socialize. We will be bringing s'mores for the group. Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets to sit on.
Character & Storytelling
Tuesday, August 3rd
5:00pm-8:00pm
Characters are at the heart of most stories, yet so many mainstream stories truly lack representation. In this workshop, explore creating characters that you want to see more of through writing and theatrical exercises. No experience necessary, just a willingness to be curious! We will gather in the park behind Sacred Heart School (1312 15 St SW), although location may change due to weather.
Two Spirit & LGBTQ+ Climbing Adventure
Friday August 6th, time TBA
In partnership with local guides and Skipping Stone Foundation, we will go to Kananaskis Country for the day. Routes will be introductory level; no previous climbing experience is required. Climbing equipment will be provided.
Queer & Trans Sex Ed
Wednesday, August 11th
1:00pm-4:00pm
Explore queer and trans safer sex practices as well as sexuality topics with staff from Centre for Sexuality. As sexual education can miss or misunderstand the unique needs of 2S/LGBTQ+ youth, this space will share ideas, answer questions, and allow you to get the education you deserve! We will gather at Riley Park (800 12 St NW), although location may change due to weather.
Swimming (Trans-Inclusive Bodies)

We have rented out Bowview Outdoor Pool (1910 6 Ave NW) for some swimming fun! We have blocked off two times - one for trans-inclusive bodies and another for queer bodies. Please be sure to indicate which time you would like to join.

"Bring Your Own" Gender Affirming Afternoon

With local barber, Gem, we be providing free haircuts and invite Campers to bring their own gender affirming clothing/makeup/skincare/tools for the afternoon. We will gather in the park behind Sacred Heart School (1312 15 St SW), although location may change due to weather.
Accountable Art Practices
Friday August 27th
9:00am-12:00pm
Join Marshall Vielle (they/them) to explore what microaggressions look like and how they show up, how to keep ourselves accountable in spaces, and how to transform safe spaces into brave spaces. We will co-create an art project focused on accountability! We will be gathering on Nose Hill park and specific entrance location will be shared closer to the date.
