Wilson Climbing Centre
making a vertical impression
The Wilson Climbing Centre is designed as an iconic purpose-built building creating a new gateway to the University of Alberta's North Campus. The centre is driven by a passion for climbing and are committed to promoting physical activity as a healthy lifetime pursuit.
The Climbing Centre consists of:
- High wall with multiple surfaces of up to 60 vertical feet of top rope/lead climbing terrain
- 14 top rope anchors (up to 2 top rope routes per anchor when fully saturated)
- 20 lead anchors (up to 2 lead routes per anchor when fully saturated)
- 4 mixed lead/top rope anchors (up to 2 lead/top rope routes per anchor when fully saturated)
- 2 "adaptable" climbing anchors (1 route per anchor)

Waivers
Waiver | Adult Participant | 18+
For patrons 18 years or older at the time of entry
Waiver | Youth Participant | 17 -
- For patrons younger than 18 years at the time of entry
- This form can ONLY be signed by a legal parent/guardian (>18 years in age) of the patron
- Forms signed by care-workers, baby-sitters, the parents of a friend, other relatives, etc. WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED (and admission will not be granted).
Waiver | Volunteer Worker | 18+
- For volunteers supporting Climbing Wall events
- these volunteers would be by assigned and confirmed by the Wilson Climbing Centre Wall staff on an event-by-event basis
