RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RAC)

The Recreation Advisory Committee (RAC) serves as a student advisory committee to Campus and Community Recreation at the University of Alberta. The committee is made up of Undergraduate and Graduate Students involved in all aspects of recreation on campus. The committee discusses and advises Campus and Community Recreation on topics such as:

  • Contemporary student life topics and issues
  • Feedback on new Campus and Community Recreation programming and initiatives
  • Other contemporary issues with respect to recreation

CAMPUS RECREATION ENHANCEMENT FUND (CREF): 

The Campus Recreation Enhancement Fund (CREF) was created to help ensure that the high quality of Recreation Services programs, equipment, and facilities remains diverse, convenient, accessible, equitable, and affordable to all University of Alberta Students' Union members.

Recreation for all on campus is an integral part of a positive University of Alberta experience. Those organizations and departments that apply for funding from the Campus Recreation Enhancement Fund must show that their request will have a positive impact on student life at the University of Alberta. The request must facilitate a healthy and active lifestyle for the University of Alberta students.

The Campus Recreation Enhancement Fund Committee is responsible for allocating funds and reporting to the Students' Union on an annual basis.

The Campus Recreation Enhancement Fund (CREF) is now accepting applications for the 2021-22 Allocation Year. Eligible Student Groups, Sports Clubs, Campus & Community Recreation Departments, and other University of Alberta Applicants can fill out our Google Form Application below.

Please note that the application must be completed in one session and all sections must be completed for your application to be considered. For more information please read through the following documents for the updated application process and an outline of all of the questions contained within the Google Form.
