Nazemifard Research Group

The research in Nazemifard's group focuses on fluid transport and interfacial phenomena in micro and nano scale environment. Using a variety of experimental tools such as fluorescence microscopy, nanofabrication, self-assembly, spectroscopy, and zeta sizing; numerical methods such as finite element method and trajectory analysis; and theory, we explore and quantify different migration mechanisms involved in transport of complex fluid system through micro/nano scale passages. Our research also involves design and fabrication of micro/nanofluidic reactors or sensing devices with primary applications in energy and environment.
