Derek Sellman

Derek Sellman, RN, PhD, is Associate Professor and Director of the unit for Philosophical Nursing Research in the Faculty of Nursing, and Associate Adjunct Professor, John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre, University of Alberta. Derek has an interest in virtue ethics as a base for ethical practice with an emphasis on the moral education of nurses. He also has a particular interest in ethical issues related to the care of older people and related to working interprofessionally in health care. Derek is currently editor of the journal, Nursing Philosophy.
