Maria Mayerchyk is a feminist activist, Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Docent at the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Editor0in-Chief of peer-reviewed open access online journal "Feminist Critique: East European Journal of Feminist and Queer Studies." Her research interests include history of sexuality, history of knowledge, ethnology, folklore and tradition, feminist and queer theories, contemporary queer movements in Ukraine.
