Archival Assistant

Eric Fincham is the Archival Assistant at the Kule Folklore Centre and the Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts in 2014 and a Master of Library and Information Studies in 2016, both from the University of Alberta. Eric began working with the Kule Folklore Centre in 2015 while he was completing his master's degree and took a break from the centre in 2016 to complete an internship with the Smithsonian Institution Archives. Eric's tasks with the centre vary. He works on many metadata projects, most recently he has spent a large amount of time organizing and cataloguing the extensive collection of 33 1/3 rpm and 78 rpm phonograph records housed at the Archives. Eric is also actively involved in the Local Culture Project working on indexing interviews and preparing metadata for transfer to the University of Alberta audiovisual repository ERA A+V.
