Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives (BMUFA)

BMUFA appointments:


The BMUFA is located within the Kule Folklore Centre. 

It is open by appointment from 10 am to 3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Getting here

The Kule Folklore Centre and the Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives are located in the beautiful Old Arts Building (Arts & Convocation Hall), Room 250, at the University of Alberta.

Navigating Campus by Foot or Vehicle

Find your way around campus using the University of Alberta's campus map, which includes descriptions of and directions to all of our buildings and facilities.

Transit

You can also take the bus or LRT to Campus - disembark at University Station and follow signs for 112 Street/University Transit Centre.

It is approximately a 4 minute walk from University Station to the Old Arts Building & Convocation Hall.


Driving & Parking

Paid parking on campus is available at Lot 700, Lot N, or Lot U which are all located by the corner of 90th Ave NW and 111 St NW.

You can access the Old Arts Building by passing through the walkway under HUB Mall and crossing the Arts & Business Quad to Old Arts Building. 

Street parking is also available on Saskatchewan Drive. 

Paid street parking (metered or MyEPark app) is also available on Saskatchewan Drive.

ACCESSIBILITY PARKING

ACCESSIBILITY PARKING: One parking space is available in the south west corner of the building for visitors who have a disabilities parking placard, and pay for their parking. More information about accessible parking here.

ACCESS TO BUILDING
  • ACCESS TO BUILDING: From the south-west side of the building, there is an accessible entrance to ground level. Through the door and to the right there is an elevator. 
  • Take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Exit into the corridor and turn left. 
  • ELEVATORS: by the south set of stairs. Access to Levels 1 through 4.
ACCESSIBLE WASHROOMS
ACCESSIBLE WASHROOMS: in the north corridor on the second floor. Has an automatic door with push plate control, and accessible stall.
