Meet the 2021 Interns
Andrew Abey
Andrew is studying Immunology and Infection at the U of A. His specific interest as an intern would be to share his passion for sports and recreation with youth in the community.
Emma Haggett
Emma is a spring 2021 graduate from the University of Alberta, majoring in Human Geography and minoring in Sociology. Her coursework focused on health geography, green renewal, social justice, and the complex effects of urbanization.
Sruthi Tadepalli
Sruthi Tadepalli is an incoming third-year law student at the University of Alberta. Prior to law school, Sruthi completed a Masters in Public Policy, and a Bachelors of Arts, majoring in psychology. She grew up in the Yukon and hopes to use her law degree to help people seeking social justice.
Rachel Cassie
Rachel is doing her MSc at the University of Alberta in Epidemiology. Rachel's thesis will be examining culturally appropriate care and support for families living with harmful alcohol use in the Northwest Territories.
Mary Frank
Mary is a Lands intern with Engage North. She just finished her third year of a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, in the Faculty of ALES. Her program concentration is called the Environment and Peoples of Canada.
Kylie Peake
I recently graduated this past spring with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus with plans of pursuing a career in medicine, specifically working in rural and remote locations.
