7th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Neurometabolic Club - Best oral abstract prize in the MSc category

Emilie attended the 7th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Neurometabolic Club (a satellite symposium of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience Meeting) in Toronto (21-22 May 2019). This meeting brings together basic scientists interested in brain-metabolism interplay from Canadian research institutions to present their recent findings in the field of neural regulation of metabolism. Emilie was 1 of 25 presenters selected for abstract presentation and presented work from her thesis project, "Glucocorticoid action in the mediobasal hypothalamus regulates glucose production in vivo". Emilie was awarded the best oral abstract prize in the MSc category!

Emilie, along with MSc student Miguel Cardoso, later attended the American Diabetes Association's 79th Scientific Sessions, the world's largest conference on diabetes, in San Francisco to present their research (7-11 June 2019).
