ResNet wireless internet (Wi-Fi)
Residence buildings have been upgraded to a new wireless service (ResNet).
You can connect a computer or mobile device to ResNet using your CCID and password. There is also a ResNet_Guest network for guests, as well as an eduroam network for people visiting from other institutions.
Devices such as gaming consoles and smart TVs are able to connect to the wired connection in your unit or the wireless network named ResNet_Gamer depending on where you live.
Wired internet
If you have devices that cannot connect to the wireless named ResNet many of our residences include a wired connection; others will require you to contact and subscribe to service from a local ISP (Internet Service Provider). Select your residence below to see your options for wired internet connections.
If you have questions about any of the information on this page, please contact Residence Internet Support at Residence.InternetService@ualberta.ca.
All units have ResNet wireless connections. Each room also includes a wired internet connection. You will need to provide your own (Cat6) network cable and connect it from your computer into the wall jack.
