Get your Immunization on campus

As of October 23, the University Health Centre (UHC) will be offering flu shots on an appointment basis only. Starting October 16 the UHC Pharmacy will offer influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment. Flu shots are available on a walk-in basis from the UHC Pharmacy. If you book an appointment, you will receive a reminder email 24 hours beforehand, including a screening questionnaire. Please complete the questionnaire prior to your appointment time.

Campus Saint-Jean Campus

Campus Saint-Jean students and staff are recommended to contact the Bonnie Doon Pharmacy  or the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy  to book an appointment for the flu shot.

Augustana Campus

Augustana students and staff are recommended to contact:

Alberta Health Services will be at the Augustana campus on October 31 for flu and COVID vaccinations. Students and staff will need an Alberta Health Care number (or another provincial health number if from another province), and photo ID preferably. International students will just need photo ID.

Preparing For Your Influenza (Flu) Shot

Before receiving your influenza immunization by appointment, remember to:

  • Follow the instructions provided in your appointment confirmation (if applicable)
  • Wear a short-sleeved shirt and comfortable clothing
  • Plan to stay onsite for observations for at least 15 minutes after your immunization
  • Come prepared with your ONEcard/valid photo ID and a valid Alberta health care card
  • Eat something before being immunized if you tend to become light-headed during/following injections
