COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing – Important Update

We are no longer providing Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing. Please call 811 if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and require testing.


Influenza Immunizations

The team at the University Health Centre (UHC) and UHC Pharmacy are following enhanced cleaning and physical distancing measures as recommended by public health officials. As such, we will be offering the influenza vaccination by appointment only as we are unable to accommodate drop-in or walk-ins for this service.

On-Campus Immunization Locations

  • All immunizations are by appointment only and will follow COVID-19 distancing and cleaning procedures. 
  • Once you book your appointment, you will receive a calendar invite with a pre-registration link that you must fill out no earlier than 24-hours before your appointment.
  • Appointments are available for ages 5+

We're Open!

We are currently open with operating hours from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we ask that you observe the following:

  • CALL AHEAD to the pharmacy (780-492-2634 ext. 2) if you have a fever with a cough or shortness of breath.
  • Call ahead (780-492-2634) to order prescription refills when possible (or use the “Telus PharmaConnect” app).
  • Do not wait for prescriptions in the pharmacy - we can provide you with an estimated time when your prescription(s) will be ready for pick up.
  • We are currently offering Curb Side Pickup (see map).
  • Currently, we are not accepting cash. Payment can be made by credit or debit card.

Convenient, On-Campus Pharmacy

Conveniently located in the Students' Union Building, we are a full service pharmacy dedicated to serving all students and staff at the University of Alberta as well as the surrounding community.

Our Pharmacy team is ready to assist you with a full selection of prescription and over-the-counter medications, health and wellness products, and a comprehensive range of services including:

  • Medication reviews: Have questions about your prescriptions? One of our pharmacists will talk to you about your health and prescriptions to help you better manage your medical condition(s).
  • Pharmacist prescribing, renewal, and transfer: All of our pharmacists are authorized to prescribe, can renew ongoing prescriptions (some exceptions apply), and transfer most prescriptions from any pharmacy in Canada. We are part of the SunLife Insurance Preferred Provider Network.
  • Immunizations: From your annual influenza immunization to vaccinations for travelling, all of our pharmacists are authorized to administer immunizations.
  • Tobacco cessation products and services: We offer a complete range of products and services to help you quit for good. Talk to a pharmacist about creating your plan to kick the habit with our individual consultations that discuss the various approaches to quitting tobacco use, including over-the-counter and prescribed products.
  • Travel Consultations: We are a convenient one-stop shop for up-to-date travel information, immunizations, and health advice for most major destinations. Please call the pharmacy to book a travel consultation with one of our pharmacists. Our pharmacists can prescribe the required vaccines and medications for your travel. We are a Yellow Fever Certified Travel Clinic.
