COVID-19 and Influenza Immunization for Albertans

COVID-19 and influenza immunizations are available at the University Health Centre Pharmacy. Visit the link below to learn about eligibility and availability as well as book an appointment.

Opioid Awareness and Naloxone Training Sessions

Register to attend a free session to learn about the opioid crisis and the Community Based Naloxone Program. You will receive a free naloxone kit and training on how to use it.

All sessions are free and will be held in the Orion Room (Room 0-46) in the basement of the Students’ Union Building.

Convenient, On-Campus Pharmacy

Conveniently located in the Students' Union Building, we are a full-service pharmacy dedicated to serving all students and staff at the University of Alberta as well as the surrounding community.

Our Pharmacy team is ready to assist you with a full selection of prescription and over-the-counter medications, health and wellness products, and a comprehensive range of services including:

Medication reviews
Have questions about your prescriptions? One of our pharmacists will talk to you about your health and prescriptions to help you better manage your medical condition(s).
Pharmacist prescribing, renewal, and transfer
All of our pharmacists are authorized to prescribe, can renew ongoing prescriptions (some exceptions apply), and transfer most prescriptions from any pharmacy in Canada. We are part of the SunLife Insurance Preferred Provider Network.

From your annual influenza immunization to vaccinations for travelling, all of our pharmacists are authorized to administer immunizations.

Influenza Immunizations
The team at the UHC Pharmacy is following enhanced cleaning and physical distancing measures as recommended by public health officials. We are currently offering influenza vaccination by walk-in or appointment.

Once you book your appointment, you will receive a calendar invite with a pre-registration link that you must fill out no earlier than 24-hours before your appointment. Influenza Immunization is available for ages 5+.

UHC Pharmacy immunizations - (Main floor SUB). Please bring a valid Alberta Health Care card.
Tobacco cessation products and services
We offer a complete range of products and services to help you quit for good. Talk to a pharmacist about creating your plan to kick the habit with our individual consultations that discuss the various approaches to quitting tobacco use, including over-the-counter and prescribed products.
Travel Consultations
We are a convenient one-stop-shop for up-to-date travel information, immunizations, and health advice for most major destinations. Please call the pharmacy to book a travel consultation with one of our pharmacists. Our pharmacists can prescribe the required vaccines and medications for your travel. We are a Yellow Fever Certified Travel Clinic.
