University Health Centre

The University Health Centre is open to help you with your health care needs.

In-person visits can be booked for medical reasons that require a medical examination, and other care is provided virtually (phone call) if possible, as per recommendations from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

  • For a virtual (phone) visit with a UHC family physician, please submit our form for service or book online using your Medeo account. We will follow up with a phone call from one of our family physicians (during regular business hours only). If you have questions about using the form, please contact UHC at
  • If you complete the form for service and it appears that you require an in-person visit with a physician, you will be contacted by a UHC team member to book an appointment.
  • If you need an appointment with a UHC specialist (Dr. Tankel, Dr. Ravji or Holly) please call the office directly at (780) 492-2612.
  • To find out about availability for an in-person visit with a UHC physician, please check with the staff working at UHC in person or by calling (780) 492-2612.
  • You must be in the province of Alberta to have a virtual visit with a UHC physician due to provincial licensing regulations. If you are not currently in Alberta, please seek medical services in your area.

Please Note:

If you are ill with influenza-like symptoms/possible COVID-19:

  • You should immediately self-isolate.
  • Complete the COVID-19 self-assessment here and follow the instructions provided.

The team at UHC is following enhanced cleaning and social distancing measures as recommended by public health officials. In line with University of Alberta guidelines, there are a reduced number of staff working in the clinic and, as such, there is a limited capacity to answer phone calls. Unless you are returning a phone call from a UHC team member, please complete the form and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

UHC office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Any submissions outside of regular business hours will be addressed the following business day.
