About the symposium:

The Wirth Institute at the University of Alberta, in partnership with the Slovenian Embassy and the Department of Music, presents a conference on topics related or contemporary to the celebrated violinist, pedagogue and theoretician Giuseppe Tartini (who was born in Piran, Slovenia in 1692). Please join us for lectures, lecture-recitals and concerts, including a virtual visit of the Tartini Museum in Piran and concerto performances featuring well-known Early music artists Elinor Frey (cello) and Anders Muskens (harpsichord).
