Announcing Zone Clinical Department Head (ZCDH) Adult-Critical Care

Dr. Shelley Duggan is the successful candidate for the Zone Clinical Department Head (ZCDH) Adult-Critical Care role effective August 1, 2018.

As the ZCDH Adult Critical Care, Dr. Duggan will be responsible for leading and continuing to ensure critical care across the Edmonton Zone is of the highest quality.

Dr. Duggan received her medical training at the University of Alberta, residency training at Queens University and subspecialty training in critical care medicine and nephrology at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Duggan has served as the interim ZCDH-Adult Critical Care since 2017 and is also the Facility Medical Director for the New Edmonton Hospital. Dr. Duggan is also a Clinical Professor in the Department of Critical Care in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta. Among Dr. Duggan's many contributions to medical leadership, she has served as the Facility Chief, ICU for the Grey Nuns Hospital, interim Facility Chief, Neuro ICU for the University of Alberta Hospital, the President of the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff Association and has served on several committees within Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta.
