An enduring legacy of Dr. Gibney's contributions to Critical Care Medicine in Edmonton over the last 40 years.

This lecture aims to honor Noel's legacy by inviting recognized local, national or international speakers whose vision, body of scholarly contributions and leadership have advanced the field of critical care medicine.

Dr. Deborah Cook is the Academic Chair in Critical Care Medicine and a clinician-scientist at McMaster University. She holds a Tier I Canada Research Chair in Research Transfer in Intensive Care. She practices critical care medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital where she supervises clinical trainees, and she also mentors Masters and PhD graduate students in McMaster's Health Research Methodology Program.

Dr. Cook is a founding member and 2-term Chair of the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group - the most established and productive research consortium in the field.
