It is our pleasure to announce that Dr. Oleksa Rewa is the successful candidate for the position of Associate Chair, Research and Innovation for the Department of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Rewa graduated from medical school and Internal Medicine at Queen’s University, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto. He went on to complete a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Rewa is an active member of the AHS Critical Care Strategic Clinical Network and Canadian Critical Care Trials Group and continues to lead and collaborate with ongoing local, provincial and national programs of work. Dr. Rewa has more than 20 peer reviewed publications and is supported by $3.5 million in grant funding as PI and Co-PI.
He joined the Department of Critical Care Medicine in July 2016 as a Clinical Scholar and was promoted to Assistant Professor in September 2019.
