Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician

What did you study and where?

I grew up in Calgary. I started my undergraduate physiology program at UBC. I obtained my Bachelor of Medical Sciences as well as Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Alberta. I subsequently completed my Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Alberta.

What is your clinical specialty?

Sports medicine, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, interventional therapies

What teams do you work with now/in the past and in what capacity?

I am one of the team physicians for FC Edmonton. I served as an on-site medical officer for the 2020 Scotties and Briers Curling Championships.

What days/hours do you work at the GSSMC?

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

What is your favourite way to stay active?

Outdoor activities, hiking, boating, basketball, table tennis, swimming, cycling, gym

What is a ‘fun fact’ about you that may surprise others?

We enjoy going on adventures with our horse and our dog.
