The International Summer School is your chance to experience one of the UK's top universities, studying one of our accredited pathways. Our bespoke, interdisciplinary courses are taught by Exeter faculty from a range of Colleges, allowing you to immerse yourself in a topic and see the subject from a number of different viewpoints.
The 2021 Pathways are listed below. Detailed course descriptions can be found on the University of Exeter's website. Students can take one course from each timetable during the three week period (with the exception of Global Climate Change and International Relations as they have a heavier workload and involve multiday trips).

Fees & Costs
Education Abroad Nomination Fee: $250 CAD
U of Exeter Program Fee:
£2,400 (approx. $4,098 CAD) for 1 course, £3,150 (approx. $5,450 CAD ) for 2 courses
TOTAL PROGRAM COST: Approx. $4,350 - $5,700 CAD*
*Fees are subject to change without notice.
The program fees include tuition, accommodation, and the social program (including a trip to London). Students are responsible for any additional costs including visa fees, vaccinations, medical coverage, books and supplies, extra food costs, entertainment and incidental expenses.
Any students who apply for this program from U of Alberta, and who are able to evidence a GPA of 3.7 or above, will automatically receive a £500 High Achiever Scholarship contribution to their total program fee.
Housing
Accommodation and breakfast are included in the Summer School fee. Accommodation at Exeter is at St. German's, which is a short walk across campus to the lecture rooms and only a 15-minute walk into Exeter city centre. All bedrooms in St. German's have:
- Bed (including bed linen), wardrobe, shelves
- Desk, chair, desk lamp or built-in lighting, notice board, and waste bin
- High-speed wired and wireless internet
- TV access via your computer
- Shower, washbasin, and toilet facilities
There is also wifi, laundry facilities and vending machines, as well as a shared kitchen for every 6 rooms. Kitchen equipment, towels, and bedding are provided.
