Requirements
During Orientation, you will review program requirements, meet other CIL students and explore intercultural communication concepts.
You must complete 12 credits in CIL-approved, global courses at UAlberta. A number of faculties offers these courses.
You can satisfy the intercultural experience requirement by going abroad (6+ weeks), working in a cross-cultural environment in Canada (100+ hours) or living in the International House (1+ year).
Satisfy this requirement by completing 2 of the following: 1) earn co-curricular activity points, 2) gain second language competency and/or 3) complete intercultural communication training.
In your capstone project, you reflect on what you learned from completing the various requirements of the CIL.
