Prof. Mitchell McInnes’s new paper examines SCC case Uber Technologies v Heller

Recent ruling revised doctrine of unconscionability

Law Communications - 01 March 2021

Professor Mitchell McInnes recently published "Uber and Unconscionability in the Supreme Court of Canada" in the Law Quarterly Review (137 LQR 30). The paper examines Uber Technologies Inc v Heller 2020 SCC 16, which substantially revised the doctrine of unconscionability. In that case, both the majority and the dissenting opinions relied on Professor McInnes' text, The Canadian Law of Unjust Enrichment and Restitution.
