Undergraduate Studies

Immunology & Infection program

As a research-focused department, MMI does not have a full undergraduate training program. However, together with the Dept. of Biological Sciences we have created the popular Immunity & Infection (IMIN) program that offers a curriculum focused on infectious diseases viewed from both the pathogen and host immune system perspectives.

MMI teaches graduate and undergraduate courses, as well as special courses and laboratory training for nurses and medical students. Use the navigation menu on the left to find course listings for undergraduate students.

Hands-on research projects

An important bridge between undergrad and graduate studies is formed by the summer student and 498/499 project programs that typically offer the first opportunity to participate in real research projects. This is crucial to experience the thrill of research at the bench, hone your experimental and data analysis skills, and establish contacts with faculty members that can help you in landing future positions or fellowship applications.
