Comprehensive Institutional Plan

Each year, the University prepares a Comprehensive Institutional Plan (CIP) for submission to the Government of Alberta which explains the University's goals and priorities. Submitted annually on June 1st, this document is a valuable information source and communication tool for both the government and the University, and helps demonstrate alignment between institutional and government priorities. The CIP supports collaboration in achieving common goals.

As a strategic planning document, the CIP is actively aligned to the institutional strategic plan, For the Public Good. The document is developed by the CIP Working Group which includes representation from all vice-presidential portfolios.

A companion document, the Annual Report, facilitates accountability to stakeholders by relating the institution's actual performance to the goals, expected outcomes and performance measures identified in the CIP.
