Facility Update May 5, 2021

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, the Government of Alberta introduced stronger, wide-ranging public health restrictions in order to Stop the Spike of COVID-19. As a result, the following University of Alberta sport and recreation programs and facilities are affected.

SCSC - West

  • Facility Closure: will remain closed indefinitely
  • Leapah's Learning Garden (preschool program) will remain open as normal

SCSC - East

  • Fitness Centre: will remain closed indefinitely
  • Curling: will remain closed indefinitely
  • Sport Performance Centre: will remain closed indefinitely
  • Tennis: The indoor tennis centre will be closed
  • Outdoor Tennis Centre will close effective Monday, May 10, 2021

Foote Field

  • Foote Field Dome: will be closed

Programming

  • All indoor & outdoor fitness and instructional recreation activities will be paused effective immediately
  • All youth programs will be paused effective May, 10, 2021
