Update - October 12, 2021

UPDATES! Spectators Welcome At Saville Community Sports Centre! REMINDER! Vaccination requirements for October 25th

12 October 2021

Thank you to all clients for your patience and understanding as we work through the logistics of the Government of Alberta Restrictions Exemption Program. This Government of Alberta program provides operators with direction to meet or exceed the requirements of the program at all times to protect the health care system, stop the spread of COVID-19 and increase vaccination rates.

Over the past few weeks, we have ramped up our staffing levels to manage the logistics of the program at each of our spaces. We are now confident in our processes and are ready to invite others into our facilities.

Spectators will be welcome at Saville Community Sports Centre and Foote Field beginning Tuesday, October 12th. We strongly encourage you to limit the number of spectators within your family unit. Our facility staff will be monitoring physical distancing requirements and may limit the number of spectators in specific areas. We appreciate your assistance in maintaining a minimum of 2m between spectators (except within your family cohort).

We would also like to remind you of an important date!

On October 25th, all visitors to the University of Alberta sport and recreation facilities must:

  • Show proof of full vaccination - two doses at least 14 days prior is required
  • OR Show proof of exemption (medical or protected grounds) and proof of a negative COVID-19 test completed within the previous 72 hours.
  • OR Show University of Alberta CampusReady pass (until November 1, CampusReady passes showing temporary approval and proof of negative COVID-19 test completed within the previous 72 hours is acceptable)
  • AND Show valid personal identification or the University of Alberta OneCard. Not all youth (under 18) will have proof of ID, and access will be granted without a photo ID.

Campus & Community Recreation at the University of Alberta is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients. Your patience with our staff is greatly appreciated! Abuse of staff members will not be tolerated.

Our full program is outlined below.
