Refer IV Sedation Patient

Reach out to cdesed@uablerta.ca to find out if you're eligible for free dental work.

Continuing Dental Education (CDE) Program at the School of Dentistry is looking for patients for its Intravenous (IV) Conscious Sedation Program.

If you are eligible for this program, your dental work could be free!

The IV Conscious Sedation Program is a course that is offered by  the CDE that uses a method of intravenously administering a sedative so that a patient can receive dental treatment safely and comfortably. The programs runs in December, February, and May of every year!

Care is provided by licensed dentists who are participating in this program for additional training. This program is ideal for individuals who:

  • Are healthy ADULT patients
  • Do not have existing health or medical concerns
  • Are not pregnant
  • May be somewhat anxious of dental treatment – although you do not necessarily need to be an anxious patient. This program is open to anyone who is eligible.
  • Have a BMI that is below 35 at the time of screening and treatment in order to proceed. *An accurate measure of height and weight is required as part of the screening process for this program.
  • Must be willing to receive IV Sedation for every appointment.
