Congratulations to Eric Forcier, one of our MA/MLIS students. He has won the Jim Parker Memorial Scholarship, which is valued at $1,200. This scholarship is awarded annually on the basis of superior academic achievement to a full-time student in a master's degree program in History or Library and Information Studies.
It was endowed by June Parker, the family and friends, in memory of Jim Parker, who was instrumental in the establishment of the Archives at the University of Alberta, and had an enduring interest in Western and Northern Canadian history.
