Are you new to managing a work assignment or participating on a project team? Understanding basic project management principles and practices will help you organize yourself and your team to deliver a project on time and within budget. With knowledge of effective project management you’ll keep your projects defined and within scope, by managing change and proactively dealing with issues, and creating a manageable, achievable plan of action.

Our live online courses will teach you the fundamentals of project management with a hands-on approach. Learn about key project management principles and tools by applying them to a real world project scenario throughout each course. You can complement these skills with our Microsoft Project courses.

Courses include real-time support from a facilitator, small groups, hands-on training and support available for six months after the course.

Project Management Principles and Practices Level 1

In this 2-day course, learn the foundations of project management, why projects tend to fail and what techniques can help you combat these causes. You will get the right tools to effectively define and plan a project, with practical examples on setting clear goals and objectives to organize, schedule and budget to make sure you are ready to manage a project. Fee: $525

Prerequisites: Good understanding of Windows and Microsoft software

Project Management Principles and Practices Level 2

Put your plan into action! This 2-day course builds on skills, techniques and tools presented in Level 1. Explore the fundamentals for a project to operate effectively and smoothly such as communication, reporting, work authorization and change management. You’ll learn to ensure your project is kept on track by monitoring and controlling the correct level information, effective procurement of resources, ensuring quality is built into the solution and proper project close-out activities. All combined with understanding the skills needed to be an effective, responsible leader to achieve your goal as a project manager — delivering the right solution, on time and within budget. Fee: $525

Microsoft Project Level 1

Microsoft Project is a powerful tool that helps you stay on top of even the most complex plans. In this 2-day course, learn the basics including how to create a new project, build and manage a task list and create dependencies, assign resources, and track progress and costs. Fee: $395

Prerequisites: Good understanding of Windows and Microsoft software

Microsoft Project Level 2

Build on the skills you learned in Microsoft Project Level 1. In this 2-day course, learn how to customize tables, views and reports, work with templates, track and analyze project data, work with multiple projects and more! Fee: $525

Prerequisites: Project Level 1 or equivalent knowledge / experience | Good understanding of Windows and Microsoft software
