UARE placements are for 12 weeks total. They may only be shortened by one week under exceptional circumstances due to approved scheduling conflicts.

Preliminary eligibility screening of applicants |

Ranking of eligible applicants by project supervisors |

Internship offers sent to selected applicants (Offers expire if no confirmation is received within 1 week) |
| September, 2025 | Within 1 week after offer is confirmed by research internship participant, Invitation Letter is drafted by UAI and emailed to host supervisor |

September - October 2025 |
Upon receipt of authorized Invitation Letter from host supervisor and department, Immigration instructions and required documentation sent to selected applicants |

Internships begin (start date may be flexible, depending on supervisor and immigration application timelines) and placements are for 12 weeks from start date |
